Architainment Lighting Sponsor IALD Light Night: An Evening of Film

Architainment Lighting are delighted to have teamed up with the prestigious International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) in the UK to sponsor their well-established Light Night: An Evening of Film.

The film evening takes place once a quarter in London, UK and is hosted by an industry person. The host selects a film to screen for the evening where lighting plays a part in telling the story. Film choices have previously ranged from animation, to black and white and from comedy to horror. Previous hosts include Iain Ruxton of Speirs and Major and Colin Ball from BDP, to name a few.

Light Night: An Evening of Film starts with a welcome drinks reception, followed by a small talk from the host, and then the film screening. These evenings have become an increasingly popular event in the lighting designer’s calendars and this is set to continue with four highly respected hosts participating for the year ahead. The Evening of Film will take place on 15th March where Mary Rushton Beales, Lighting Design House, will be presenting the film Avatar.

Nic Tolkien, Managing Director, Architainment Lighting says ‘We are delighted to be supporting such a fantastic event in association with the much respected, IALD. We really look forward to hosting the design community at these events for 2018 and beyond’.
